About Nitecon
Nitecon.com started in early 2003 at first as a free open source idea. We had many great plans to give back to the community, and thus far we have done so, from tutorials on setting up VSFTPD back in the day, all the way to code snippets on how to incorporate MySQL into a visual C++ application. It has been a long and hard road.
Although we will still keep trying to do as many open source items as possible it still does not pay the bills, and donations as most online communities know is few and far between. Most of what we do is contained within services to customers, whether it be infrastructure design and implementation at data centers, application development and design, or even networking and solutions. We are well known and very well versed in all of our technologies that we support. Thus far there has been very little need to advertise as most of our customers have stayed with us from the beginning and promise to do so until the end, most new business is acquired through word of mouth, however if you are interested in our service offerings please feel free to contact us. The etymology of nitecon is broken up into two parts, the first being nite which resembles night time, this started due to the fact that Nitecon primarily started in South Africa, and our business was generally conducted during night time in the united states. The second part of the name *con* is the short hand version for connections, which resembles the early connections made between current customers that have lasted through the years. Another version of nitecon was also adapted to be National I.T. Consultants.
